NEES Teleseminars

EFRC NEES Teleseminar - Nancy Dudney Speaker: Nancy Dudney Corporate Fellow and Group Leader, Oak Ridge National Laboratories Title: Thin film battery behavior – subtle and unexplained There are several studies from our experience at ORNL with making and characterizing thin film batteries and battery materials that have been rarely, if ever discussed. A full explanation of the observations is generally lacking. These may be of interest in relation to work by NEES.
Dr. Dudney is widely known for her leadership in the research and development of thin-film energy-storage systems; for advancing the understanding of the architectures, materials, and in-service dynamics of thin-film and 3D batteries; and for her leadership in the development of the Lipon solid-state electrolyte, which makes it possible to build thin-film batteries into integrated circuits on commercial fabrication lines. Dr. Dudney continues her iterative exploration of materials for battery components and their interactions in an effort to improve battery energy density.
